Travelling by Train- Irish Rail/Iarnród Éireann
Irish Rail provides national service. Look here for information about tickets, rail tours, routes and maps.
Connolly Station, near O'Connell Street, and Heuston Station, are the two main railway stations. Bus 90 connects Heuston Station with Connolly Station.

Travelling by Bus - Bus Éireann
The Dublin Central Bus Station, Busaras, is located on Amiens St., City Centre. Buses serve destinations throughout Ireland.

Airport Buses:
- Airlink
Dublin Bus runs an Air Link service to Dublin Airport. Routes 747 and 748 run between the airport and Dublin Central Bus Station on Amiens St., City Centre. Route 746 will take you from the Airport, through City Centre, to UCD (and return). Student fares are available with a valid ISIC (International Student Identification Card).
- Air Coach
Look for the blue bus marked Air Coach at the Airport. This bus service will take you from the Airport, through City Centre, and to UCD (and return).
- City Buses- Dublin Bus/Bus Átha Cliath
Several bus routes serve the UCD Campus area. Buses going to UCD Campus should have signs Belfield or UCD. Buses going to the City Centre should have signs An Lar or City Centre.
Note: Be sure to have exact change ready to purchase your fare from the bus driver. The current one way bus fare from City Centre to UCD Campus is €1.45.
You may also use a prepaid ticket, available from newsagents throughout the city. Prepaid tickets include 2 trip tickets at the standard ticket price for travel from City Centre to UCD Return, as well as Rambler or unlimited travel tickets, which cost varying amounts depending on the number of days of unlimited travel required.

DART
The DART is a commuter train that connects Dublin with points north of the city, such as Howth, and points south of the city, such as Bray. Trains are frequent. Tickets may be purchased in person or through automated ticket machines in stations.
The nearest DART station to UCD is Sidney Parade. You can pick up Bus 2 or 3 near the station to complete your trip to UCD; otherwise, the distance from Sidney Parade to UCD is a short walk.

Taxis:
City Centre: There are taxi ranks throughout City Centre, particularly along O'Connell St.
UCD: There is a taxi rank on campus next to the AIB building on campus. However, the easiest way to get a cab from campus is to hail a taxi at the Stillorgan entrance to campus or to walk to the taxi rank at the Montrose Hotel across the street from the Stillorgan entrance.
